The Green Jade Ring Jade Calligraphy Brush presents the familiar form of a traditional writing brush as a refined decorative accent. Its elongated profile features a sequence of rounded green rings along the handle, balanced by smooth ivory-tone sections and a full brown brush head. A small loop is visible at the end. Measuring 13 inches wide, 1 inch high and 1 inch deep, it has a slender scale suited to a writing desk, console, bookshelf or curated tabletop arrangement. Display it horizontally on a stand or tray, or pair it with books, vessels and other Asian-inspired objects. Its deep green, warm neutral and brown palette works especially well in studies, libraries, living rooms and collected interiors.

Behind the form

It begins in the hands.

Before a piece is painted, its shape gives it character: the shoulder of a jar, the edge of a planter, the balance of a vase. The porcelain traditions behind our collection bring together forming, hand-painted detail, glazing, and firing.

A closer look

Notice how the painted line follows the form, and how the glaze catches the light.

At home with porcelain

A place for the details to live.

We like porcelain best when it feels part of everyday life, not set apart from it. A lamp can warm a reading corner; a jar can hold its own on a console. Blue-and-white pattern feels especially at ease beside wood, linen, and a little open space.

A room note

Give a favorite piece some breathing room, then let its color echo somewhere else nearby.
